The Shield
(7505)

The Shield (7505) is one of two non-human members of the Super Joe Adventure Team.  He is part of  The Night Fighters and fights “by night with light”.  He is molded in blue plastic with black plastic molded on boots.  His head is molded as a silver helmet with a clear piece for the face which is sculpted from the inside giving him a futuristic look.   It is a separate piece that has a silver chest plate attached and fits over the top of his torso.  This was done so an AA battery can be placed in his back to power the light in his shield.  His left arm is chrome plated and has a molded on circular shield (thus his clever name) with a light in the center.  The left arm is molded with the shield so that it covers his chest and therefore, has limited up and down articulation.   It is usually found still attached to the torso of the figure as it was not connected with the same rubber joints that deteriorated over time.
