Picture
The Super Joe Space Cruiser is another kid-sized item in the 1978 Super Joe line.  The authentic Super Joe Space Cruiser allowed kids to pilot their way through the galaxy.  This sturdy cardboard life-size vehicle accommodates a kid or two and measures 45 X 30 1/2 X 40" when fully assembled.  It was described as being able take your child's imagination out of this world!  It came unassembled packed in a poly bag with and a header.  The package was 1 1/2 X 23 X 31", making it the largest Super Joe item.  Below is a prototype image of the packaging artwork.

The Super Joe Space Cruiser was not featured int he 1978 Hasbro catalog or any retail catalogs at the time.  The rare image at the top comes from a Hasbro salesman's photo book.  An image of the Space Cruiser was included in the 1978 Hasbro trade ad below, but it was not specifically mentioned in the ad.
