Capitaine Flam

Capitaine Flam was the French title of the Japanese anime series based on the 1940's pulp magazine hero Captain Future.  He was featured in the pulp magazines Captain Future and Startling Stories that ran from 1940 through 1951.  The character of Captain Future, a space-traveling scientist and adventurer, was created by Mort Weisinger and primarily authored by Edmund Hamilton.  The anime adaption of Captain Future was created in 1978 and ran through 1979.  It was dubbed in several languages and was very popular in France.

Ceji Arbois, a Hasbro licensee, produced a figure of the title character, Capitaine Flam, using the Super Joe body.  The Capitaine Flam figure has a head based on the carton character and is molded in a tan color.  The lower legs and feet are molded as boots similar to the Shield.  He has a brown stripes painted across his upper torso and down the center of his torso.  He comes with brown wrist bands and knee pads that clip on.  He features white plastic snap on chest and shoulder armor and a white belt with attached laser pistols.  The chest armor has a light blue circle on the left side.
