Commander Power

Palitoy, Hasbro's licensee in the UK, was still producing their 12 inch Action Man line when Hasbro introduced Super Joe. They decided to keep the Super Joe figures separate from Action Man and released them under the name Commander Power.  The figures and equipment are identical to the Super Joe ones, but the packaging and artwork is all new.
Figures
Palitoy chose to release only three figures in the Commander Power line.  They are the Super Joe Commander, rechristened as Commander Power, Fearless Defender of the Galaxy, Sheild, the Commander's Greatest Friend and Ally, and GOR, the Evil King of the Terrons.

Commander Power is pictured on his box in the red Super Joe jumpsuit, but is most frequently found wearing the black Super Joe Commander jumpsuit, black boots and gold power vest.

Sheild and GOR are identical to the Super Joe figures.

Equipment
Palitoy did not release any of the Super Joe uniforms for the Commander Power line, but did release the Action Packs and Power Packs with some slight variations.

Action Packs - The Action Packs include the Aqua Laser without the foil vest; the Fusion Bazooka without the yellow vest, map and map case; and the  Treacherous Dive set.

Power Packs - The Power Packs include the Helipak; Magna Tools with the hood from the Invisible Danger set; and the Sonic Scanner.  The Power Packs do not include the jumpsuits that the Super Joe versions have.

Large Equipment
Palitoy only released one large equipment set for the Commander Power line, the Rocket Command Centre.  This is of course the Super Joe Rocket Command Center in a new box with the English spelling of "Centre".  Interestingly enough the glow in the dark stickers that come with the set contain the US spelling of "Center".

Below is the "War of the Rays" ad for the Commander Power line.  Note the absence of the Treacherous Dive and Aqua Laser sets, with an odd combined "Underwater Weapon" instead.
