Laser Communicator
(7550)

Picture
The Super Joe Laser Communicator was released only in 1978 and is a kid-sized Super Joe toy, similar to the Back Yard Patrol military sets from the 1960's.  It was described as being an authentic space communicator with a shimmering laser rod and glowing signal lights.  It is two toys in one - a laser ray gun and a communicator handset.  When the clear plastic rod is placed in the red side position, the Laser Communicator is in its laser ray gun configuration.  A squeeze of the top red trigger will light the barrel in either position.  (Two C batteries are required).  When it is placed in the top blue position, the Laser Communicator is in its communicator handset configuration.  A squeeze of the bottom blue trigger will produce a signal sound to alert the Adventure Team whether the unit is in the Laser or Communicator Mode.

In its laser ray gun configuration, the laser communicator can be used to stop the Terron in its tracks in the never-ending battle of lights like the lights of the Super Joe Adventure Team members or the Command Laser included with the Terron.  Accordingly, an ad for the Laser Communicator was included with the boxed Terrons.
